Captain America reviewed

Captain America a is a typical action movie.  Steve Rogers is the title character who joins the army and gets turned into the first super soldier. His friend’s battalion gets captured.  He rescues the whole battalion.  He discovers an evil organization called H.Y.D.R.A., which is led by a character called The Red Skull. Naturally, Steve gets sent out to destroy H.Y.D.R.A.

The movie stays fairly true to the comic book. It’s not historically accurate: for example, one of the American Commanders was a female.  This did not happen during World War II.  Not overly romantic, this was a fun flick, an enjoyable diversion for a summer night.  Three and a half stars.
